Enrolment Fees

The following fees are applicable upon application and enrolment.

Deposit

An amount equivalent to one term’s tuition fee is required as a refundable deposit to secure the student’s place in the school.

The deposit amount will be adjusted as the student progresses through different grade levels and tuition fees increase.

The deposit is refundable provided that written notice of withdrawal is submitted one full academic term in advance.

The withdrawal notice must be received and acknowledged by the WAAPC American School administration before the beginning of the academic term during which the student intends to withdraw.

Failure to provide the required notice period may result in the forfeiture of the deposit.

A non-refundable application fee payable upon submission of the student application. This fee covers the administrative processing of the application, academic review, and admissions evaluation conducted by the WAAPC American School admissions team.

All Grade Levels (PreK3 – Grade 12): 250,000 FCFA
(≈ $385 USD)

This is a non-refundable one-time payment required upon acceptance of the Letter of Admission issued by WAAPC American School. The registration fee confirms the student’s place at the school and initiates the enrolment process.

Returning students are required to pay a re-enrolment fee of 250,000 FCFA to confirm their continued place for the following academic year.

Boarding Fees for 2026/27

Boarding Fees are invoiced termly and payable at the start of each term (3 terms per academic year).

Only students in Year 5 and above are eligible to apply to stay in the Boarding House.

Sundry Deposit: What is it?

A Sundry Deposit at WAAPC Boarding House is a payment made by parents during their child’s registration. This deposit can be refunded if the parent provides a full academic term’s notice to the school before the term starts and the student is officially withdrawn.

Additionally, there should be no outstanding fees or damages owed, and all returnable items must be returned without any dues to the school.

WAAPC American School offers a structured boarding program for students in Grades 7 to 12. The boarding program provides a safe, supportive residential environment where students develop independence, discipline, and strong academic habits while preparing for global university opportunities.

Our boarding program combines academic supervision, student wellbeing, and leadership development to ensure students grow both academically and personally.

Standard Boarding

Annual Fee:

≈ $4,000 per year

Standard Boarding provides a comfortable residential experience with strong academic supervision.

Includes
  • Shared dormitory accommodation (3–4 students per room)
  • Three daily meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
  • Supervised evening study hall
  • Residential supervision and pastoral care
  • Laundry supervision
  • Weekend sports and recreation activities
  • Basic health and well-being monitoring 

Premium Boarding

Annual Fee:
3,900,000 FCFA
≈ $6,000 per year

Premium Boarding provides an enhanced residential experience with smaller room occupancy and additional academic support.

Includes

Everything in Standard Boarding, plus:

  • Smaller shared rooms (2 students per room)
  • Air-conditioned accommodation
  • Priority academic tutoring support
  • Extended evening study sessions
  • Weekend enrichment trips and leadership programs

Enhanced well-being support and mentoring

Boarding fees cover the full residential experience, including accommodation, meals, supervision, and structured student life programming.

Boarding students benefit from:

Weekend enrichment programs and sports

The following costs are not included in boarding fees:

International travel costs

Boarding is available for students in Grades 7–12.

All boarding applicants must complete the school admissions process and demonstrate readiness for residential life.

Boarding spaces are limited to ensure high-quality student care.

Payment deadlines are provided during enrollment.

To ensure smooth school operations, tuition must be paid according to the approved schedule.

If payments are delayed:

  • Late payment notices may be issued
  • Access to certain school services may be restricted
  • Students may not be allowed to attend classes until payment is regularized

The school reserves the right to apply late payment penalties where necessary

If a student withdraws from WAAPC American School:

  • Registration fees are non-refundable
  • Tuition refunds may be considered depending on the withdrawal date
  • Official written notice must be submitted to the school administration

Refund decisions are made according to the school’s financial policy.
