School calendar dates
To guide you in planning your child’s enrolment at WAAPC American School (WAS), we have outlined the schedule of term dates and holiday periods for the academic year.
WAS follows the Northern Hemisphere academic calendar, running from August to June, with the school year divided into four terms. Our annual calendar is thoughtfully planned to include various activities, competitions and events organised for our learners.

PreK – grad 4
Early Years and Elementary
Required Document
- Parent/Guardian Questionnaire
- Current Teacher Recommendation letter
- Birth Certificate Copy
- Prior Year School Reports (if applicable)
- Parent Interview
An informal meeting with the division principal to discuss your child’s readiness.
Grade 5 – 12
Secondary School
Required Document
- Official Transcripts (Last 3 Years)
- Two Teacher Recommendation Forms
- Parent/Guardian Questionnaire
- Standardized Test Scores (MAP/WIDA)
- Student Interview
A scheduled Google Meet or in person interview to assess English proficiency and character.
